Well Saturday I got up went to the bathroom and the toilet would not flush! Brent had taken the girls (minus Skye) to his friends house to stay the night. So I was trying to figure out what to do. I took a giant pitcher filled it up a few times with water and filled up the tank. Then of course the thing worked, then I tried to turn on the shower and nothing. Great Frozen pipes...well I did not have time to deal with it because I had to meet up with Brent and go meet the new daycare lady. All the time there though he was freaking out about the pipes and thinking the landlords would not do anything blah blah blah. I kept trying to tell him these people are not like Scott and Sue...they actually give a damn about us.
On the way home I stopped for gas (it was actually only 1.99 in cottage grove) and he went on to the house. He called to talk to the landlords and he said they were on their way. I told him, I knew they were not going to leave us without plumbing, specially knowing that I was pregnant. When I got home, they were already there and they had taken a panel down in Skye's room (which is right next to the bathroom) and were trying to warm up the pipes. It took them about an hour but they got the shower and the toilet working again. Plus Gloria had broughten over a birthday present for Skye a cute little star night light.
They got everything going then went to Menards, picked up a fan to blow on the pipes and help keep them flowing, and then a new filter as well. The stupid thing was how much he was freaking out about things. I think he is to use to the sucky landlords...first Marcelous who would not fix the ceiling or the leak in the basement of oil. Then Scott and Sue who's family was just plain rude to us! He was sitting there talking about moving out and all this other stuff. Packing up what we had and moving in with his dad for a few months blah blah. I did not do the freak out thing because I knew that they actually cared and would help out.

Good, let HIM run home to his daddy!!! You and the girls stay there with the nice landlords, then Brent can come and do daycare for you! Really, what else do you need him for?? *LOL*
I know ALL ABOUT frozen pipes...this should be the last of the nasty stuff, but in your tub run a trickle from both the hot and cold overnight, that will help. Put a bucket and save the water for plants or something if you don't want to waste it.
My can is working again, but there is always ice in the drain. Good thing I am not a bath taking person!!!
